I’ve had a terrible time the past two years, the most bothersome being uncontrollable weight gain. I had my thyroid checked and its fine and my previous dr told me to get excercising. I kinda gave up because excercise and diet have not affected my weight in any kind of way. I was finally persuaded to seek another dr who also ran blood tests. Again, my thryoid came back fine, but this dr noticed my hormones were way out of whack and resembled a woman in menopause. She mentioned it was something to do with my pituatary and sent me to an endocronologist. He had me take a test to supress something. He called on Fri and said he wanted to talk about my results, but I missed him. He isn’t in his office for two more days, but I am nervous about the results and the possibility of cushing’s disease. If I didn’t have it, do you think the dr would still call to talk about the results? If I do have it, how urgent is it that I start to treat it?
