Weight Gain and Menopause

You may have noticed that your body is less forgiving these days.   Menopause gets your attention, real quick, with physical reminders like hot flashes, weight shifting to your middle, heart palpitations, etc.  You cannot help but notice that your body is changing.

This is an opportunity for taking notice, and, if necessary, for makes a few critical corrections.  Lower estrogen levels may increase your risk of medical problems such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease, but a lifestyle and diet can lower your risk for many of these medical conditions, giving you more energy, and improve your quality of life.  It can also reduce some of the annoying symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes.
